Bradley Cooper has signed on to star in a new suspense/thriller Dark Fields.
Neil Burger (”The Illusionist”) is onboard to direct.
Project is described as a what-if story about a designer drug that can make you rich and powerful. Eddie (Cooper) is a down-and-out New York writer until he possesses a pill that gives him the ability to access the full capacity of his brain. He soon realizes that his newfound intelligence and success come at a hefty price as mysterious forces begin to pursue him.
This sounds like a movie that is right up my alley, I love stuff like this. I love the exploration of the psyche in relation to drug influence, and it has almost a sci-fi sound to it. I’ve yet to see Bradley Cooper take on a serious role like this, I wonder how he’ll handle it.

The merge finally happened last night on Survivor Samoa. Â It was a fabulous feast filled with good food and plenty of booze to bond everyone for about five minutes. Â Then the plotting began. Â It was pretty fun watching all of the chaos after the double immunity challenge. Â The possibility of someone different getting voted out was all over the place. Â I was actually thinking the Jaison might actually get booted. Â But Erik (the WOMANIZER)was flapping his jaw so much during Tribal Council that he pretty much sealed his own fate. Â What a tool! Â I am pretty sure he was about to cry when he gave his final words at the end.
Next week Evil Russell is going to be struggling to find ground with the whole world against him. Â I am very curious to see if he will be able to pull something out. Â But, I am afraid that his plotting with absolutely everyone is finally going to catch up with him…OH and the fact that he played the idol last night! Â What the heck was he thinking? Â Ugh….

Kick-Ass tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name — Kick-Ass — assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There’s only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers.
It’ll be interesting what they are going to do with this movie, it certainly is milking the anticipation factor for fans of the comics.

Katy Perry rocked the  MTV Europe Music Awards where she changed her outfit twelve times! One of those twelve ensembles was designed especially for her boyfriend, British comedian Russell Brand.
Katy paid tribute to her man and his favorite soccer team all at once with the name ‘Rusty’ placed across her perky backside. Â That is the hottest soccer uniform I have ever scene.
“I spent a lot of time working out every single detail, just making sure every look was perfect,” she said of all the clothes she wore that night.
Well done, Katy! Â your hard work was worth it! Â I am sure that Russell would agree!

Here’s the newest poster for the upcoming film Wolfman starring Emily Blunt and Benicio Del Toro.
She looks scared, this movie just doesn’t look very scary. I have huge doubts about this one, I’m expecting it to be bad. Why else would they have pushed it’s release to mid February? Oh well, maybe I’ll be wrong.

According to the Wall Street Journal J.J. Abrams (director of Star Trek) is bringing Micronauts to the big screen.
J.J. Abrams, who created the TV show “Lost” and directed this summer’s “Star Trek” film, is in discussions to produce a movie about Japanese toy line Micronauts, which Hasbro just acquired.
Not very detailed news, but if you were a fan of Micronauts it may be exciting for you. I personally hadn’t even heard of Micronauts until now. I’d rather Abrams just focus on the next Star Trek.

There is a Yogi Bear live action/CGI movie coming with Anna Faris, Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake in talks to star.
The film is being directed by Eric Brevig and produced by Donald De Line and Karen Rosenfelt as a live-action/CG hybrid.
Faris will play a nature documentarian who follows the antics of a bear in fictional Jellystone Park. Aykroyd will voice Yogi, and Timberlake may voice Yogi’s companion, Boo Boo.
This sounds a lot like Alvin and the Chipmunks, and that was just terrible. I do love Anna Feris, she’s hilarious, but I don’t know if the is a good idea overall. We’ll have to wait and see.

This movie really looks like it’s going to be good, Tobey Maguire really looks insane in this trailer. I spent a day on the set of this film and I can tell you, Sheridan is going for gold here.

Adam Lambert just recently broke up with his boyfriend Drake LaBry. Â But, the American Idol alum isn’t wasting any time moving on. Â Despite the fact that the break up was mostly due to Adam’s need to focus his career and upcoming album, For Your Entertainment, Adam has already found a new love.
Pop singer/songwriter Ferras Alqaisi is the flavor of the week for Adam Lambert.
“Ferras helped Adam work on his new album, For Your Entertainment,” the friend says. “They have a lot in common, so I’m not surprised Adam started falling for him.”
