Booted American Idol Contestant Pulls a “Sligh” One

Top 10 American Idol finalist Chris Sligh visited B93.7 radio station this morning in his hometown of Greenville, SC. During his on-air chat with morning show hosts Hawk and Tom, he dished about the Idol judges, host Ryan Seacrest and the other contestants.
When asked to describe each of the judges in one word he chose “putz” for Simon Cowell, “dawg” for Randy Jackson and “whack” for Paula Abdul. After claiming that he wanted to jump across the stage at Cowell’s remark of “bu-bye curly” after his elimination, he then went on to talk about how nice each of the judges was and said that Simon came up afterward and hugged him saying he was leaving because he had lost his spark.
Sligh also said the sparring between Seacrest and Cowell is put-on and they are very good friends (didn’t we all know that already?), adding that the highly entertaining exchange between the two several weeks ago about Ryan “coming out” was followed by high-fiving between the two after the cameras stopped rolling.
Chris said he thinks this year’s competition could go to any of the remaining contestants but he believes Phil Stacey could go all the way (say it ain’t so) and that even Melinda Doolittle could be “Daughtryed” (a term referring to the untimely elimination of last season’s highly favored Chris Daughtry for those of you who were living under a rock).
According to Sligh the only time he was upset about Sanjaya Malakar not being eliminated was when fellow contestant Sundance Head went instead.
Towards the end of the show Chris broke the AI rule that states that finalists are not to sing in public prior to the tour, by singing an original song while playing a guitar he borrowed over a year ago from host Hawk Harrison and never returned.
