While browsing in Lounge, a 16,000-sqare-foot shopping emporium in NYC’s SoHo district, Cameron Diaz was startled by a mass of paparazzi that entered through the back entrance and swarmed her.

A witness tells Usmagazine.com that “Cameron totally freaked out, screamed, and dropped the items she was going to purchase.”

Diaz then hightailed it through Lounge’s Casablanca Tea Room and Bar and slipped out the back door.

Adds the witness: “She couldn’t even get 5 minutes of shopping in before she was running, full speed to get away as fast as she could.”
