Former “American Idol” finalist Jessica Sierra was arrested early Sunday on felony battery charges for allegedly hitting a man on the head with a heavy glass at the Hyde Park Cafe in South Tampa.

She is also facing a charge of possession of cocaine and introduction of contraband into a correctional facility.

Sierra, age 21, was booked in the Hillsborough County Jail and the drugs were discovered while officers were searching her.

The singer, who was one of the show�s top performers in 2005, was released on Sunday afternoon on $11,500 bail. The man she struck reportedly received a cut over his eye.
