Jennifer Aniston spent Memorial Day weekend getting cozy with a handsome mystery man with dirty-blond hair.

Although his identity remains in question, one thing’s for sure: During a romantic dinner at Santa Monica’s One Pico restaurant in the Shutters Hotel on Saturday, he had the actress’s undivided attention.

At 8 p.m. the pair slipped into the beachfront eatery with Aniston’s man gently rubbing her back as they waited for a table.

For the next three hours the duo talked by candlelight over a bottle of San Pellegrino, leaning in close and, at one point, even holding hands across the table. (Her rep had no comment on the dinner date.)

She’s gorgeous, talented and has the world at her fingertips, yet in the new issue of Parade, Jessica Alba reveals that she often wishes she could disappear.

“I prefer to be a little more anonymous, under the radar,” she said. “I like to be able to slide in and out of situations unnoticed.” 

Yeah, so she chose to be an actress.  Makes perfect sense to me.

On always wanting to be an actress:
“I had a lot of tenacity from a very young age. I was pretty clear on what I wanted to do with my life – I wanted to act. My dad was like, ‘When are you going to go to regular school? When are you going to get a job?’ It wasn’t until my dad visited the set [of her television series Dark Angel] and saw how hard I worked that he understood.”

Yep, it’s a tough job but somebody’s gotta do it, right?

On the paparazzi:
“I could give two sh-ts about them. They’re so lame, I can’t even believe that’s a real job. I can’t imagine they even pay taxes.”

Oh PULEEZ!  Gimme a freakin break.  Okay, maybe it’s PMS, or lack of sleep, or whatever, but I just find this interview very annoying at the moment.

Nicole Richie is feeling the heat over an email invitation sent out for a party she co-hosted Sunday night, attended by Mischa Barton.

In explanation, Richie’s rep said:

“This invitation was sent via email to her friends who understand that she was responding in a joking manner to the constant untruths printed about her in the media. Her reference to Memorial Day was in no way meant to offend anyone but was simply an expression of her distaste for the current situation.”

I find it appalling that the thing everyone seems to be up in arms over,  is her reference to weight.  Yes, it is tasteless, but obviously said tongue-in-cheek, in retaliation to the constant media attention about her weight (which is also appalling).  The thing that bothers me the most is the disrespect to the men and women who have bravely fought for this country.

Mischa Barton was rushed to the hospital last night after suffering an adverse reaction to medication.  TMZ  reports that it was a combination of antibiotics the actress had been taking for bronchitis, and alcohol.  Perez Hilton, who claims to have sources who were inside the party, is saying it was mushrooms and cocaine.

Everyone seems to be in agreement that the former “OC” star was at a friend’s Memorial Day BBQ enjoying a few holiday cocktails when she began to feel extremely ill.

The 21-year-old celeb was rushed to an undisclosed medical facility in Los Angeles, where we are told she is “resting comfortably.”

A rep for Barton says that the starlet is with family and “feeling much better.”

Three people were killed in a plane crash at Mountain Air Country Club in Burnsville, NC yesterday. 

Two victims were doctors at St. Petersburg, Florida, General Hospital. The hospital told the St. Petersburg Times they were Freddy Camuzzi and Charles Freeble the Third. The name of the third victim hasn’t been released.

Authorities say the plane bounced on landing at the private mountain airstrip, hit two other planes and burst into flames.

I began my real estate career at Mountain Air and still have many friends there.  I currently work for another private community in Western North Carolina.  Although I didn’t know the two victims who’s names have been released, this really hits close to home. 

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected.

In a press conference this afternoon about the arrest of Lindsay Lohan, cops say they found a “usable amount” of a drug they say was cocaine at the scene. Lt. Mitch McCann of the Beverly Hills Police Department would not say where the drug was found but it was “not on her person.”

Police Said that 20-year-old Lohan and two other adults were in her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 convertible when she lost control and crashed into a curb and trees in Beverly Hills, Calif. around 5:30 AM. After the crash, police say LiLo got into another car and was driven to Century City Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries that involved “something to her upper chest area.” The two other people in her car were not hurt they said.

Officers received a 911 call about the accident and “tracked Ms. Lohan to the local hospital, where she was ultimately placed under arrest” for investigation of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Lt. McCann said it appeared as if Lohan was speeding and lost control.

Lohan was cited and released and will have to face a judge.

Lindsay Lohan was cited for investigation of driving under the influence Saturday, May 26, 2007 and was slightly injured when the troubled actress’ convertible struck a curb, police said. Lohan, 20, and two other people were in her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 when it crashed on Sunset Boulevard around 5:30 a.m., Sgt. Mike Foxen said.

“She was cited and released because she has been admited to a local hospital for minor injuries.” Foxen said.

According to reports, no one else was hurt and there were no other cars involved. Foxen did not have other details.

So many young Hollywood stars seems to be on a course of self-destruction. Fortunately this was a minor accident and no one was seriously injured or killed by Lindsay’s irresponsible behavior. Maybe she can share a cell with Paris.
