For the past few weeks one of the most often entered search terms was “Galilea Montijo” because of an x-rated video circulating on the internet in which “a young woman who looks like her is having sex with two men.”

Galilea Montijo is a 33 year old Mexican soap opera star born in Guadalajara. See the photo gallery below. Galilea first came to fame after winning La Chica TV pageant in 1993. What brings this woman to be the top search term (she is number 4 in Technorati, beating out Paris Hilton and even Myspace) is the rumor that an x-rated video circulating on the Internet is of her. In the video, a young woman who looks like her is having sex with two men. It seems the best way to get fame and fortune these days is to release a sex video of yourself. However, in this case, Galilea may have gotten famous even though it is not her in the video.

Now back to Galilea. She has vigorously denied that it is her in the video and it seems now that it is in fact a 39 year old porn star from Colombia, Monique Fuentes, seen here in the photo right, who has her own website which I can’t even give you the link to because it’s worse than NSFW, it’s probably not safe for Home.

Ms Fuentes has similar facial and body features as Galilea and so it is not hard to see how the Internet rumor can spread. Unfortunately most of the sites point to the porn video with claims that it is in fact that of Galilea Montijo. Hopefully this article will be read by some readers of the hundreds of petty blogs that have popped up purely to defame the character of Ms Montijo. One of the problems with the Internet is that rumors and hoaxes quickly spread without the ability for retractions or corrections to squelch them. Sadly, even the latest Wiki entry for Galilea still does not have the update that the video is in fact of someone else.
