Stella McCartney shows off….her talent

Well, well, well…for once we have an artist whose exploits are usually left to be showcased on her works instead of her actions after work. As much as that may be difficult because everybody either loves the exploits by people like Madonna, Britney, Kiss or Hector Camacho or envies them for having the guts enough to live without caring about what others think, we still have people like Jon Secada, Enrique Iglesias, Creed and Laila Ali, who carry themselves in an unworthy way privately while still showcasing their best efforts publicly, thus allowing their talents to get all the public interest’s focus. One of the latter artists is Stella McCartney. The wildly desired by yours truly designer is the daughter of my favorite musician of all times, former Beatles singer and guitarist-banjo-tuba etc., etc player Paul McCartney and his late wife, Linda, ms. Stella McCartney. Born in London, Stella McCartney has shown far more talent than, say, other Beatle children like Julian Lennon.

And just as Stella is hot, so are her 2007 summer collection offerings. Predominant in her 2007 summer collection are soft colors such as White, Ocean Blue and Cream. Navy Blue and Winterfresh Green are also present, and being that this is summer, colors like Red and others are not given much importance. McCartney has designed outfits both for work and for play, with elegant, brown jacket and pants with a cream blouse, and then a combination Ocean Blue and Cream bikini that evokes memories of 1960’s bathing suits. McCartney definitely knows how to put on a show without being a drama queen, and by letting her art talk for her.

McCartney favors colors that match the person’s skin color, and looks that are modern, refreshing and attractive while at the same time responsible. She accentuates the need of a person to combine an outfit’s colors well. Should I say, with my own public exploits only my friends know about but that are legendary within my circle, the serenity and maturity that McCartney expresses in her 2007 summer designs are a very welcome eye candy. That should not be surprising, given that she has been working as a fashion designer for a very long time now.

One can also feel the influence of her experiences living in the United States and in Europe on her 2007 designs. Royal Navy, of course, is a favorite color in the old continent, while the softer, clearer colors are more common in North America. In essence then, it can be said the girl has stuff for everyone. Well, that is, for everyone who is also a girl, as you won’t see me donning one of her bathing suits anytime soon.

Stella McCartney’s summer 2007 collection show us not every rock star’s children come out like Jack Osbourne, and some of them actually have great creativity, enough to stand out by themselves
