Kelly Clarkson Apologizes to Clive Davis

Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson is finally apologizing to BMG head and music god Clive Davis after openly bashing him earlier this month. Clarkson posted this excerpt on her website yesterday:

Davis, she says, “is one of the great record men of all time. He has been a key advisor and has been an important force in my success to date. He has also given me respect by releasing my new album when he was not obligated to do so. I really regret how this has turned out and I apologize to those whom I have done disservice.”

Kelly’s album ‘My December’ has tanked so its smart to go ahead and apologize so she can hopefully have his support and marketing behind her next one.

Clive Davis definitely is not the head of BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc., the not-for-profit organization that represents songwriters). I think Davis is still head of BMG, a corporate group of record labels.
