Looking Down At the Hot Latina Superstars!!
As you may know by now, I am not shy when it comes down to opening my mouth. I love talking and causing scandal with the premise that, the day people stop talking about one is the day people stop caring about one. If your friends or your enemies aren’t talking away from you or behind you about your latest romp with your neighbor, that means you aren’t as important to them as you used to be. You are not the topic of the hour anymore and dare someone else mention your name, they will be invited to the geek of the month club. It is because of that that I have decided to let you all in my world of secret crushes.
Looking back, there have been some people I have mentioned that I question myself about-no offense to my beloved Black readers because I find Laila Ali a better knockout than, say, a George Foreman knockout, but really, fantasizing on Queen Latifah? But then again, we all committ mistakes. And one of the biggest mistakes we do many times is looking at European or North American divas and assuming they are the only fashion Goddesses, overlooking Asian and Latina stars. I mean, it’s true that Paris Hilton has awesome fashion taste and so does Tyra Banks, but how about Lucy Lu or JLo?
At this time of the year, the tropics are supposed to be hot and warm and the South Pole countries cold. So what I want to do is make a review of fashion in the only area of the world that can boast to have an excellent moment to visit the beach and also blinding snow falls: Latin America. I also want to stir up more conversation by revealing who exactly my blood boils to the burning point for. From Puerto Rico to Argentina, people are stirring us or chilling us to the bone with fashion.
One of the most common mistakes we do is imagining the Latin American woman as a chubby, dark skinned, hard working lady with a long, red and green dress and a pava hat on. I recognize many do dress like that and from a personal point of view there is nothing wrong with these women, because most of the time, the ones who do dress like that do it out of neccesity, not by choice. But the Latina woman is typically more modern than that.
Take Adamari Lopez of Puerto Rico. She redefines the word survivor. She began working as an actress at age 6, and I began crushing on her at age 9. A few years ago, she was diagnosed with breast Cancer and, with a lot of prayer by myself included, she recovered and is married to singer Luis Fonsi, a teen idol himself in Latin America. She is dark skinned but with White features, and olive green eyes. She chooses to wear the same color as her eyes on her summer bikinis, highlighting her skin, which in turn does highlight her eyes. I guess you can say she is a fashion statement on the flesh!
Then there is Mexican Anahi, she from the Rebelde group. She is so anti fashion that she is super hip fashion. You know, the way skaters and dark soul, The Craft wannabes dress? Like me. When I can find those types of clothes at a good price, that is. Well, picture a Mexican version of Robin Tunney and you have Anahi. Dyeing her hair red definitely benefits her, because she can be usually seen wearing dark tops and skirts, specially during her group’s concerts, and wine red and dark black definitely match well. And yes, just like her song proclaims, I, Antonio Santiago “Am a Rebel!” too!!
But Anahi was not an original member of Rebelde. All of you Latina readers here may be saying “what???” But it’s true. The concept of Rebelde was created deep in the South Pole area of Latin America, Argentina, where that fantastic actress and talent finder, Cris Morena, created a soap opera named ErreWay, which had a music group, also called ErreWay, and which went over to become a Latin rock sensation. Televisa of Mexico bought the rights for ErreWay from Morena and then turned it into Rebelde. Which leads me to Luisana Lopilato. Luisana Lopilato is a 20 year old that is finer than a Georgia peach. Cleopatra? Hah!, She was lucky Lopilato wasn’t around during her time! Luisana Lopilato is currently wearing celestial blue mink coats in Buenos Aires, where the temperatures are reaching arctic levels just as they are scorching near me, by the Mexican border. Like I said, Latin America is the only area in the world that can boast both a tropical heat and a good skiing season at the same time (and accordingly there are also women like Puerto Rico’s Olga Tanon, who can’t learn how to dress even to save her life), and Lopilato is, unfortunately for us the ones on the male side, covering herself up but she is doing it with mucho gusto. When the winter hits north of Mexico City and the summer arrives in Argentina, she loves wearing clear blue and passion red bikinis, and we the guys love imagining ourselves catching the next Aerolineas Argentinas 747 to land next to her. Lopilato is white skinned with dirty blond hair that she sometimes colors into 100% pink, so the blue outfits and bikinis look perfect on her figure. I would recommend clear or celestial blue to any White woman with long, blond hair because it gives a soft, sothispicated look. Her using red bikinis? Well, that’s just to inspire male passions, which goes perfect with me, after all if my blood pressure ever goes low, I know who to look at!
I love you, Luisana!!!!! She is my one true love among all the celebrities I have written about.
There, I gave you something about them, and me, to talk about and show some love. After all, I love all of you that read my column too. Without you there for me, I couldn’t get inspired to do it after all.
