People magazine reports Shakira is quietly hitting the books at UCLA this summer, in a marked contrast to every other musician/Hollywood starlet her age who parties and enters rehab in between projects. Beauty and brains for a purpose, other than self-promotion is refreshing to see.
The Colombian star is taking classes with the prestigious professor Robert Cleve, who has his doctorate in the subject.
Thank goodness for young women like her and Natalie Portman who can stand head and shoulders above the pack.
