Britney Faces Fines, Jail Time and Tears

Crying Britney Spears

It seems as if Britney Spears is finally getting a clue to how much of a mess she has made of her life. After getting a verbal spanking from the judge in her custody battle with ex Kevin Federline, she is seen crying leaving the law offices of her third lawyer this week.

The singer, 25, was charged Friday with one count of hit and run causing property damage and one count of driving without a valid California driver’s license, according to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office. Each misdemeanor charge, stemming from a fender-bender in a Los Angeles parking lot on August 6, carries a maximum sentence of 6 months in jail.

Britney has been dumped by her management team this week, replaced her legal representation repeatedly, received criticsm for bringing her son into a ferocious swirl of paparazzi and now is charged with this.
