Casey Affleck, Ben’s Little Brother Has Arrived.
Actually Casey Affleck has always been in older brother Ben Affleck’s movies. Now Casey is being recognized as a very good actor in his own right and is breaking out of Ben’s shadows. He is starring in two films this fall that are getting lots of attention already: The Assasination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford playing the Robert Ford character to Brad Pitt’s Jesse James; and in Gone Baby, Gone - he is the lead in the Ben A. directed film.
(George) Clooney predicts Casey Affleck is “going to have a big year. Every time you think you know him and that he’s smart, he says something and you think he’s smarter. He’s a tremendously talented actor.”
Casey is down to earth and happily takes the back seat to Ben in the publicity machine. After reading his interview, you can’t imagine him blaming Jennifer Lopez for his crappy movie choices, the way Ben just did in Interview Magazine. Read the rest of the Casey Affleck profile here at USA Today.
