Musician Anthony Kiedis became a first time father on October 2nd this year and is happier for the experience. Kiedis and girlfriend, Heather Christie named their son Everly Bear.

“We had a long list of names, but I suppose it came to me by way of the Everly Brothers, which is one of my favorite bands,” the Red Hot Chili Peppers singer said at a fundraiser for the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society in LA. “And sometimes last names make good first names.”

Congratulations to the new parents.
