The stylish and visually arresting new ABC show, Pushing Daisies, has gotten a full season order from network execs. The critical darling has garnered solid viewership numbers and is becoming a cult favorite.

“Daisies” stars Lee Pace as piemaker Ned, who discovers he can bring the deceased back to life by touching them. He resurrects his childhood crush Chuck (Anna Friel), and the two launch a flirtation hampered by the fact that they can never come into physical contact or she will die again, this time permanently. Chi McBride, Ellen Greene, Swoosie Kurtz and Kristin Chenoweth also star, with narration by Jim Dale.

The series is challenging the budget to maintain it’s unique look and style, and having Barry Sonnenfeld as producer and sometime director adds to the cost. If you haven’t seen this show, you should. It is different than everything else on network television and is well written, funny and smart.
