WWE Legend Fabulous Moolah Passes Away at 84

Fabulous Moolah

Lillian Ellison, aka “Fabulous Moolah,” passed away last night in South Carolina, reports the WWE.  She was 84 years old.

The WWE says that Ellison “was the longest reigning champion in the history of her chosen sport, or any sport for that matter.” She was champ as recently as 1999, making her the oldest champion in the history of wrestling.

Fabulous Moolah was the first female wrestler to be inducted into the WWF Hall of Fame in 1995.
