I Love New York 2: Episode 5 Recap

Midget Mac

Episode 5:

After his sneaky and unruly behavior last week and nearly getting eliminated, Tailor Made finds himself on thin ice and tries to redeem himself.   New York has a new task for the guys, making them sign an honesty oath in blood.  She brings in some sort of witch doctor to gauge their honesty, letting them know that if they lie, bad karma will befall the house.

It, the village idiot, refuses to sign the contract in blood, citing that he doesn’t really love New York.  Tailor Made confidently signs, even though the whole house is convinced that he’s lying.  Midget Mac and Punk deliver deeply personal stories to New York, leaving Harvard hottie Punk winning the one-on-one date.

Is it just me, or is Punk a little too smart, too built, too nice, and too well-dressed to be a straight man?  I don’t know, New York…he seems like a great catch, which can only mean one thing.  He ain’t winnin’ this competition.

Once everyone is back at the house, things start getting weird.  Lights start shattering, and objects start soaring off walls.  It must be all that bad karma that’s in the house!  Or, it’s the producers trying to make good TV, but whatever.  Everyone except Tailor Made is running around like a crazy person.  The Entertainer finally goes to sleep wearing a helmet on his head, because that will totally ward off the fake TV ghosts….

At elimination time, New York throws another wrench in the mix, getting rid of moron It.  She also says goodbye to lovable Midget Mac, whom she feels has not had enough time to get over his deceased baby mama.

This leaves one chain.

So, she decides to bring back Buddha, whom she says was wrongfully eliminated last week.  Tensions immediately arise between Buddha and Tailor Made, who had a knock-down drag-out fight last episode.  But, these boys are going to have to learn how to play nice, because New York is taking back control of her mofo house!

Next week:  New York guest stars on FX show Nip/Tuck, and hilarity will inevitably ensue.
