Donda West Passes Away at 58
Dr. Donda West, mother to rapper Kanye West, passed away Saturday night in Los Angeles at the age of 58. She was a former English professor at Chicago State University, her sons manager, and the chairwoman of the Kanye West Foundation.
A spokesman for Kanye said, The family respectfully asks for privacy during this time of grief.
Donda West recently released a book about her son called Raising Kanye: Life Lessons From The Mother Of A Hip-Hop Superstar.
The cause of death has not yet been released, though there are rumors that she had an allergic reaction to medication while getting plastic surgery. Whatever the reason, she was an intelligent and talented woman, and she will be missed.
