Indie film darling Ryan Philippe has admitted to feelings of despair and suicide after his marriage to actress Reese Witherspoon went down the road of most Hollywood Hook-ups: Divorce.

In a surprisingly candid confession he told UK magazine Man About Town: “After the divorce I wanted to die. I was ready to kill myself. I was not taking care of myself at all. I would wake up and cry and vomit.”

Witherspoon’s paycheck and bankability in Hollywood was rising while Philippe’s was not and among other things, (including rumours of affairs on Philippe’s part,) this is speculated to have contributed to their break-up.
