Tony Parker Sues Gossip Site for $20 Million

Tony Parker is going full-court press against claims that he cheated on new bride, Eva Longoria.
The San Antonio basketball star filed a $20 million lawsuit in Santa Monica this afternoon against photo agency X17 for running a story alleging that he had an affair with French model Alexandra Paressant shortly after marrying his Desperate Housewife in July.
In a statement released yesterday to PageSix.com, the agency defended the story, saying, “The journalists at X17online conducted extensive research for the reporting of this story and we felt the evidence was too strong to ignore. Alexandra Paressant’s claims were significant and newsworthy and we are continuing to uncover more details each day in our continued investigation.”
A rep for Eva said last week that the allegations “are 100 percent false and untrue.
$20 million sounds like an outlandish amount, to me. A public apology seems sufficient if it really is untrue, but I’m starting to get into conspiracy theories here. Either, it’s true and Tony’s just a huge douche, or perhaps they were all in on it all along in hopes that they could cash in from the buzz!
