In an inspirational tale, a ten-year-old girl, Courtney Oliver, has already graduated from college and is a practicing veterinarian!
The latest in the “believe it or not” segment comes from the South Bay Veterinary Hospital in Olympia, Washington, where you can meet the most amazing veterinary assistant in the country - Courtney Oliver. The amazing thing about Courtney is not that she is a veterinary, but that she is only 10 years old. Oliver completed an on-line college course in 8 months and is now working with the vets at the hospital as a certified veterinary assistant.
Courtney Oliver says she knew early in life this is what she wanted to do, “I have a dog Maggie and two hamsters and I just though: ‘Well, if I have so many animals why don’t I just work with them?”, the 10-year-old vet was quoted. State law says that she’s just too young to work with the animals by herself, despite the college degree, but she has found a mentor, Dr. Michelle Shoemaker, the mentor who stands by Courtney’s side. Courtney Oliver, a 10-year-old veterinarian, what are the odds?
This just proves that we can do anything we set our minds to!

People is reporting that 24 star Mary Lynn Rajskub, aka Chloe O’Brian, is expecting her first child at the end of the summer!
The father is a personal trainer, 27-year-old live-in boyfriend Matthew Rolph.
“With the strike going on, I had to keep busy!” Rajskub, 36, jokes. “We are thrilled and couldn’t be more excited.”

Madonna is pushing Gucci to raise money for a charity, Raising Malawi, but it’s not showing up on any official websites as being an actual registered charity.
Raising Malawi is basically a unit of Philip Berg’s Kabbalah Center in Los Angeles. If you wrote a check to it, the processing would be handled by Kabbalah’s “educational arm,” called Spirituality for Kids. That’s also the group that gets proceeds from Madonna’s children’s books.
Madonna’s peeps responded by saying that Raising Malawi was in the process of getting registered formally.
But with a week to go, there’s no sign of it. Will well-heeled patrons of Gucci really want to write checks only to find them endorsed and cashed by Spirituality for Kids?
As we’ve learned before, Madonna doesn’t think conventional rules apply to her. After all, she is the woman who adopted an orphan who still had parents!

A 25-year-old man has been arrested at Brad Pitt’s Los Angeles home, Fox News is reporting.
Officer Karen Smith says a housekeeper called police around noon Wednesday after she saw a silver car blocking the actor’s driveway. She told officers the man, who described himself as a freelance reporter, got out of the car and asked “Which one is Brad Pitt’s house?”
Smith says neither Pitt nor Angelina Jolie was home at the time.
The man, identified as Eric Ray Mitchell, was arrested for investigation of trespassing.
Smith says Mitchell was taken into custody on a “private person’s arrest,” and it will be up to the housekeeper to decide whether or not to press charges. I guess that housekeeper must be feeling pretty powerful right now!

Britney Spears is in the hospital again, under psychiatric hold. Will it do anything for her this time around?
According to the L.A. Times, “Authorities said the welfare hold was prompted by a telephone call they received from Spear’s psychiatrist. It was unclear exactly when they had received the call, but it was apparent that the operation had been carefully planned over a period of time. Unlike the first welfare hold — in which Spears’ ambulance was closely pursued by a throng of photographers — vehicles today were blocked from following the same route. The motorcade that whisked Spears to the hospital also showed a large investment in resources. The line of emergency vehicles stretched longer than a football field.”An ambulance left Britney Spears’ house around 1:20 A.M this morning. The windows were covered and a police convoy of what seems like DOZENS of cops lead the way.
Britney was in the ambulance and she arrived at UCLA Medical Center around 1:35 A.M.
Following the ambulance were none other than Lynne Spears and Adnan Ghalib - in the same car.
Britney is going to be put under a 5150 psychiatric hold at the hospital for 72 hours. Hopefully her treatment will be extended.
Spears has been under the treatment of a psychiatrist, who was at her home Wednesday night and placed a call to the authorities, which triggered Brit’s hospitalization.
Britney had not slept in days and her shrink was concerned for her deteriorating condition.
Let’s hope Dr. Phil will stay out of it this time!

The footage, which PageSix.com hears was bought for $200,000, was shot without Heath’s knowledge, at the Chateau Marmont hotel in L.A. following the SAG awards on January 29, 2006.
In the video, Heath is shown talking while at a private party after sniffing a cocaine-like substance off a table with a rolled up bill in his hand. As he speaks, his face noticeably twitches.
An insider tells PageSix.com that Heath says at one point, “I’m gonna get so much sh*t from my girlfriend. We have a baby together… Matilda, Matilda Rose.”
They have it under review and might not show the clip. What kind of sick person would? I think that this is crazy what people are willing to do to exploit someone. So lets boycott them. They have gone to a new low.

Nancy Cartwright, the voice of TV’s Bart Simpson, is the biggest Scientologist in the world. She reportedly gave $10 million to the church last year - the largest sum by any single individual.
Nancy reportedly out-donated even Tom Cruise, who reportedly only gave $5 million. John Travolta and Kelly Preston only gave $1 million each. In return for her generosity, Nancy was given the prestigious Patron Laureate Award.
I can’t believe someone from The Simpsons had that kind of money!

And how wonderful does it make you feel, Simpsons fans, to know that a part of the money you’ve spent on your love of the show has ended up being funneled into the Scientology coffers? Yup - if you went to see The Simpsons movie (which sucked), or if you’ve bought any of the DVD sets, or if you’ve helped the show’s ratings by watching it, hence allowing the network to jack up their advertising rates and the actors to ask for more money…you’ve basically become a financial supporter of Scientology.
I guess now we know why, unlike South Park, The Simpsons never makes fun of Scientology or Tom Cruise. They’re afraid Nancy will quit the show and they’ll have to find another Bart. Of course, The Simpsons makes fun of Christianity all the time, and Judaism and Buddhism and pretty much every other religion. But they don’t dare piss off the one Scientologist amongst them.

Oh, God, Rumer Willis, I’m so sorry! That’s just your face! Okay, that was totally mean of me and wrong on so many levels. In Touch is reporting that actor Ethan Hawke and Ryan Shawhughes, 28, are expecting their first child.
Says a friend, “They are over the moon!”
Ethan, 37, first met Shawhughes when she worked as a nanny for him during his marriage to Uma Thurman.
Hawke already has two kids with Uma. Knocking up the nanny…not classy!
