New parents often gush lovely stories about their child and Joel Madden and Nicole Richie are no different. Their daughter, Harlow Winter is the focus of their attention and they couldn’t be happier.

“Me and her mother feel like the luckiest two people alive right now,” the Good Charlotte front man wrote on his clothing company’s Web site on Wednesday. “This time in our life has been amazing. We both look at our little girl every single moment every day and know there is nothing we wouldn’t do to protect her and her perfect little innocence. It seems like you turn on the TV, or get online, and it’s all bad news.”

Hopefully Richie stays on the path she’s on now and has really given up her partying ways to be a great mom. Good luck to the happy new parents!
