Christian Brando, Marlon Brando‘s son, died today. Christian died at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center a little before 2 this morning after being hospitalized for pneumonia.

Christian was the son of Marlon Brando and Anna Kashfi. In 1990 he pleaded guilty to killing his sister’s boyfriend. In 2001, Robert Blake accused of Christian of being involved in Bonnie Lee Blakey’s murder.

Christian also went by the name Gary Brown and played in several movies including Yentl and The Endless Game, but he was most famous for being a criminal and the son of a legendary actor.

He was 49.
