Bobby Cutts Jr. Confesses to Killing Pregnant Girlfriend
The Bobby Cutts Jr. trial is going on today, and he admitted to placing pregnant lover Jessie Davis‘ body in the park in northern Summit County.
After he was done, his truck was covered with bugs from the highway, so he took it to a car wash. He said that during all this, Ferrell kept asking him, “What are you going to do?”
“I don’t know what I’m going to do,” he said.
He stopped to get mulch on the way home because he remembered he was supposed to mulch his lawn that day. Then he went in his house.
“I kept trying to wash, I washed and washed and washed,” he said, trying to cleanse himself and wash away the experience at the same time.
He tried to stick to the schedule he had for June 14, which included picking up his daughter.
Late that afternoon after his wife picked up their daughter, he said he was alone for the first time since Davis’ died. He kept going over the events in his head. He said he thought that if he called Jessie Davis, “everything would be all right. I called her phone … (hoping) she would answer and this whole thing would be over.”
He went to coach basketball, came home, couldn’t sleep and took another shower. Then he went to his shift with the police department.
The next day, Ferrell called to ask if he was alright.
“No, I’m not all right,” he told her. He went to Davis’ house to get Blake.
On the way, Cutts got a call from Davis’ sister, informing him that Davis was missing.
Blake, Davis’ mother and a sheriff’s deputy were there when Cutts arrived. He said he couldn’t explain to anyone where she was, even though he knew.
“They’re not going to believe me,” he said. Sgt. Eric Weisburn of the sheriff’s office “was looking at me like I did something,” Cutts said.
“I didn’t tell them the truth because of the way … he responded to me,” Cutts said of Weisburn.
He said Weisburn wanted the crime lab to go over his truck, and he wanted to search Cutts’ house, to which he agreed.
Cutts called Myisha Ferrell, and told her he did not want her to get in trouble, so he instructed her to tell the authorities that he just took her to his house.
Then the news media started swarming outside his house, Cutts said. He said that on June 16, his mother told him that Jessie Davis’ father wanted to kill him.
His confession was heartbreaking, at least on Jessie and her unborn baby’s part. Do you think that Cutts was genuine, or he is just a cold-blooded killer trying to get a lighter sentence?
