American Idol’s David Hernandez Finally Speaks Out About His Stripping Past
“You know, honestly, I’m here to sing,” Hernandez told EW.com. “I think America’s judging us all off of our voices right now. Obviously they were, because I’m still in the Top 12, thank God. So I’m not really concerned with what’s going on [with those reports]. I’m just focused on singing, because that’s what I’m here to do.”
There, now that clears everything up, doesn’t it?? WTF???

In David’s defense, all the pictures that have surfaced (at least that I’ve seen) look like he’s a bar tender at a gay bar. Besides, even if he also stripped at the gay bar, it doesn’t mean that he’s gay. Strippers and bar tenders all know that if you are a good looking guy, you will make 2-3 times the tips working at a gay bar than you do at a straight bar.
Also, strippers tell guys what they want to hear…that they are bi or gay (that way the guy giving the tip thinks they have a chance at something). So if you don’t mind being groped and like making cash, stripping at a gay club will get you that.
Now, from the first moment I saw him during the audition shows and every moment since, my gay-dar has been going off. Hell it’s been going off for half the guys this season and only Danny Noriega was the unspoken out one. But his being gay or his having stripped.. who the hell cares?!? The guy can sing and he looks hot doing it (well some of his cheezing for the camera annoys me, but anyway).
