Rolling Stone Magazine Endorses Barack Obama
Putting Barack Obama on the cover of this issue of Rolling Stone, with pages of ink to chronicle his campaign trail and a full fledged endorsement from editor Jann Wenner, Obama has the kind of celebrity endorsement that Bill Clinton had when he ran for president. Wenner wrote the follwoing in his endorsement for Obama:
Obama has emerged by displaying precisely the kind of character and judgment we need in a president: renouncing the politics of fear, speaking frankly on the most pressing issues facing the country and sticking to his principles. He recognizes that running for president is an opportunity to inspire an entire nation.
What do you think? Who should get the democratic nomination? Who should our next President of the United States be, democrat, republican or otherwise? Let’s hear your opinion.

Here’s my take on it…Rolling Stone and all these braindead celebrities backing Obama is not helping him to get my vote! And since Nathan has started writing for politicalkudzu.com (Go read it kids, it’s great!), we watch a LOT of politics and I’m pretty up on what’s really going on and who stands for what. And while I’m not like most people from the South who thinks he’s a Muslim who won’t salute the flag and thinks he only swears on the Quaran and not the Bible and is going to turn the white people into slaves (they seriously say at my family’s church that Revelations was talking about him and he’s the Anti Christ), it doesn’t mean I’m 100% for him, either. I kind of feel like he’s a lot of talk and not necessarily any action! But, ever since I have gotten a subscription to Rolling Stone, I have discovered, I hate them! While some of their articles are good, I feel they should stick with music. Because all of their left-wing articles feel like propaganda, and I’m just not dumb enough to buy into it. And I’m not saying that b/c I’m Republican, b/c I’m not, not at all! Let’s just say that I’m not going to vote for someone because a celebrity or a magazine or a blog tells me to. And surely America has enough sense to feel the same way.
Well I completely Disagree with this girl Jebbica is it? First I’m not replying to bash what she says or thinks, although I think it’s bogus and naive of her… but my outlook on the article blew my mind!!!! I have never been about politics nor favored a lot of government decisions, to put it frank I’ve NEVER voted, mainly because I have never had any candidate that intrigued me enough to do so…until I read this article about Barack Obama!!! I guess you can call me a free spirited, music lovin, treehuggin, onelovin, toke token hippie kinda girl…that always wanted our nation to come together and a leader that can start a revolution!!! With Obama’s personal history, integrity, character, and values I feel that he is the man to do just that! He brings something completely new to the table that has never been seen before in any campaign, Honesty and passiveness. Socrates once said, “To be wise you must be slow to speak and quick to listen!” Maybe Obama is not addressing every issue this country needs to worry about, but who can? Change is what we need most in this country, something new, something fresh, why is it that we learn about history??? Oh yeah, so it does not repeat itself? HELLOOOOOOO? If that is the case then why do we keep electing presidents that continue to do the same things? It almost seems simple, you want this country to be a real democracy, you want to have real freedom, you want to have equal opportunities, and unite our country once and for all???? VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA!!!! HE’s THE MAN TO MAKE THAT ALL HAPPEN!!!!! ONE LOVE
I’m a borderline hippie myself, and I think it’s great that you disagree with me without feeling like you have cause to hate on me. Part of what makes America great is we all have our different views and opinions on things, and unless we’re completely ignorant, we can still get along! Thanks for your comment Jenna!
Now thats something I can agree with!!! I love debates, me and my bestest friends debate all the time without grudge…Just with an appreciation of where each other is comming from…and it is important to hear the different perspectives of people, we must remember no one in this world completley thinks and believes the same things and that is something “authority / government” Really needs to consider!!!
One love
yeah right i love debating ..humm but hope that the presidential candidates will gonna solve the economic issue ..so far the soaring prices are affecting the costs of everything from food to housing market crisis. There are also significant issues on local and global environmental impact. While there are many issues, we need to look at our next leader and determine which will have the best course of action going forward…..I recently watch the two video in http://pollclash.com/ about this issue, Obama and McCain talk about this…
