Kristy Lee Cook Does Country Version of ‘Eight Days a Week’ on Crack

I know she was trying, but Kristy Lee Cook was obviously trying too hard. Now, don’t think I’m going to hate all of last night’s American Idol Top 12 performances, because I didn’t. There were a few I thought were quite good. This was not one of them. Kristy Lee tried to turn “Eight Days a Week” into her idea of a country song, which sounded to me like a country fair having a heart attack. It’s like the band was trying to play faster than Kristy, who was trying to sing faster than the band, and all the while I’m sitting there hyperventilating from the madness! Add to it her attempts to “Aguilera” the song, aka oversing the notes when she really didn’t have time to do any of that. It was murderous. All I have to say is, she better be glad Simon’s such a nice guy! 3-way TIE for WORST performance of the night. Can you guess who the other two were?
