I missed the first half of Michael Johns‘ American Idol performance of “Across the Universe” because my boyfriend was being rude and obnoxious and trying to make sure I couldn’t hear it. Why would he do that? Because I made the mistake of telling him that it didn’t matter how good of a singer he was, girls would buy his records because he’s hot.

Apparently, he’s relying solely on his hotness these days, because he hasn’t really given an above-average performance since that day he did the Doors’ song. This was another mediocre performance at best. It was “just aiight,” as Randy would say. The song would have probably been better suited for Jason Castro.
