After David Cook’s performance of Dolly Parton’s “Little Sparrow” on American Idol last night, he was admitted to the hospital for experiencing heart palpitations and high blood pressure.

Cook was reportedly “not feeling well earlier in the day and the Idol medics told him his blood pressure was too high and he should go to the hospital. DC decided to wait it out. After the show, he was driven to a private doctor who gave him some” medication.

Cook has since been released and should be at eliminations tonight.
