Britney Spears Moved by ‘Idol Gives Back’, Donates $25K

Britney Spears Kristy Lee Cook

Britney Spears was watching American Idol last night, and she was reportedly so moved by the children in Africa who had Malaria, she decided to help them.  After watching Idol Gives Back, she cried for two hours about it, then asked her dad if she could have permission to donate $25,000.

A source told Life & Style, “She did it all on her own. She watched the show and cried for like two hours over the children in Africa with malaria. She didn’t know much about the disease, so she Googled it. She was horrified to realize kids were dying from mosquito bites. So she went online and donated after getting [her dad] Jamie’s permission. She used her Amex.”

Aww, Britney has a heart!  Good for her and her new image!

How do you think Britney’s friend, Kristy Lee Cook will do this week?
