Here’s Gwyneth Paltrow on the cover of May 2008 Vogue. Check out her Wonder Woman bracelets and her Iron Man (she appears in the movie, releasing May 2nd) arm rest!

Gwyneth, I love you, I really do, but I can’t decide what I think of this photo. I dig the sparkly metallic dress and the blue background – and did I mention the bracelets? – but Gwynnie herself? Not doing much for me. They have her positioned at weird angles. Remember how you could sometimes bend your Barbie’s limbs just a little, but not much? Gwyneth reminds me of that here – an awkwardly posed doll. Her skin has a strange plastic (Photoshopped?) pallor to it. And even the way her hair is brushed back makes me think of a doll – if I could just part it a little, I’m sure I could see the plugs/tracks in her plastic scalp.

Hmmm, maybe I have come to a conclusion that I don’t like this cover. But I am looking forward to seeing Iron Man… what about you?
