Here’s Eva Mendes at the Opening Night Gala of the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

I really don’t know what I think of this dress. The turquoise color is gorgeous and combined with black it’s really striking. I like the soft flow-y look a lot too. I think the checkered bodice is what kills it for me. It reminds me of a picnic tablecloth, or a lumberjack shirt – neither of which belong at a gala.

Speaking of galas, who knew Eva was an opera fan?
