Ms. Anderson Goes To Washington

Pamela Anderson was in Washington, D.C. yesterday criticizing the government for failing to update animal testing procedures. She hand delivered a report to politicians, urging [them] to start using “sophisticated, non-animal test methods in place of animal tests.”
This was the first visit to Washington as an American citizen for Canadian-born Anderson. She told reporters:
“Being a citizen excites me not just because I can vote, but because I can crack the whip on Capitol Hill to defend animals.”
Pammy will continue her lobbying efforts tonight at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner, which she is attending with pal and PETA Vice President Dan Mathews.
I’m having a hard time picturing her giving testimony to Congress and being taken seriously by some of those hard-asses like Arlen Specter or Leslie Graham. (Especially if they’ve ever seen this photo!) However, her dedication to the cause is really admirable. Go Pam!
