Jenneh, while it may seem to be illeagal, under your belief of it being underaged porography..or child pornography,it is not. I am not stating this to look like some pedophile for i am not, i am staiting this because there is nothing shown in the picture, therefore it is not a pornographic picture as you say. The magazine,Vanity Fair, cannot be sued under any circumstances because it is not pornography. There is a sheet covering her completley so nothing is shown. The fact is that if you call this pornography,with the sheet covering her and all, then a picture of her in a bikini on the cover of PEOPLE magazine, or any such magazine, must be pornographic. The company cannot be sued for this because they have nothing wrong according to the United States law, and if they had they would have had a legal representitive that would have informed them of the illegality of the situation.

If possible they could potentially do a nude photo shoot of any underage girl, and as long as it is not sexually explicit, it is considered art and not illegal. There may be variations on this law from state to state, but I beleive that is the federal standard, and it may be changing as time goes on. The first amendment only guarantees freedom of the press, not that the press will be correct in what they publish. if you want this changed you have to make it happen because the press will fight every attempt at censorship, beleive me I live in Oregon and I know!
