Saturday Night Live’s Cheri Oteri’s father was murdered on Saturday.

Gaetano Thomas Oteri, 69, was stabbed to death by his country songwriting parter and roommate, Richard William Fagan.  Fagan has been arrested and charged with criminal homicide.

The incident reportedly took place at Fagan’s home in South Nashville.

Cheri, 45, has been informed of her father’s death, according to police.
