Avril Lavigne Cancelled Concert & Apology
Avril Lavigne recently cancelled a concert in San Diego, California due to laryngitis. The show was on Wednesday and Avril called in sick on short notice, which left her fans devastated and angry because some of them had already made a long journey to see her.
She [Avril Lavigne] has now issued a statement on her website, apologizing to fans for the scrapped gig.
She says, “I am at home right now taking it easy. I have been sick this whole tour, and now I have lost my voice. I have never canceled a show in my whole career and just had to for the first time ever. This sux (sic)!
” I just played 4 shows in a row in Texas (which is a lot for the vocals) and woke up in Vegas Tuesday with no voice. I thought I was gonna have to cancel that show, but I made it through…barely! I woke up yesterday and knew I wouldn’t be able to sing last night. My voice is so shot.
“I’m at home resting my voice for 2 days and hope to be back out soon. Thank you for understanding. And once again, I sincerely apologize.”
The Best Damn Tour was expected to be a success but it had some problems with poor ticket sales and I wonder if this is some way for Avril to cut her tour short.
Anyway we hope Avril is getting her rest and she can make a fast comeback to the stages.
