Reese Witherspoon Pretty In Pink For Breast Cancer
Reese Witherspoon joined 3,500 participants at the Avon Walk For Breast Cancer in Washington, D.C. this weekend. The two-day event raised $8.1M for breast cancer research and care.
Reese is Avon’s global ambassador as well as the honorary chair of the Avon Foundation, which works in the areas of breast cancer, domestic violence, and emergency relief. When she was named honorary chair last year, she expressed her commitment to breast cancer issues.
“Someone very close to me is a breast-cancer survivor. It’s a cause that’s very close to my heart.”
Lots of celebrities endorse causes, but very few actually put their money where their mouth is - or in this case, perhaps we should say their feet? Kudos to Reese!
