Kristi Yamaguchi Wins Dancing With The Stars

Kristi Yamaguchi has become the second girl to win Dancing With The Stars. Kristi and partner, Mark Ballas, were crowned the winners last night.

“This is the icing on the cake,” she said. “I thank all the fans … and everyone who has made this a dream experience.”

She and partner Mark Ballas got a perfect score of 30 for their final competitive dance, the jive. (They also got a perfect score of 60 on Monday’s show.)

Judges praised them for being the most “consistent” throughout the season - and viewers agreed by voting for them (a combination of the judges’ and viewers’ votes determined the winner).

I wonder though…figure skating is a lot like dancing. And just like I thought when Mario Lopez was on the show too, isn’t that an unfair advantage to the people that obviously can’t dance at all? I guess still the practicing and the consistency helps too.
