If Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson are truly broken up, why is she wearing a Dallas Cowboys cap?

I swear I don’t know what’s going on with this situation.  He parties in Chicago without her, they look totally happy and find together at Ashlee’s wedding, he doesn’t go on the trip to Cabo with them, Pete Wentz says he doesn’t know anything about their breakup, and now she’s out wearing this hat.  She’s not the kind of girl who just throws on whatever and leaves the house.   Would Papa Joe have really started a break up rumor just for publicity?  I put nothing past him.
