Rupert Everett seems to have let fame get to his head…in his current rant he disses Americans. He describes them as “whiny victims”, he goes on to say…

“I’m totally off the States now. … The reaction to 9/11 and then George Bush – really, they’ve got very blobby as a nation. … Now they (the Americans) are whiny victims whose language is entirely taken from two TV shows – Friends and Sex And The City – and there’s nothing sexy about them any more. And that kind of semi-blindness about the rest of the world, which was attractive when America was exciting, is really unattractive now.”

Now, I have never watched Sex And The City…but Friends…dude…that is classic television. There will be nothing like that show ever again. Not even the Beverly Hills 90210 remake!

Rupert, I used to think you were a great actor until I heard this! I am going to fast forward through all your parts in My Best Friends Wedding…even though you were in all the good parts!
