According to the rumors, Ashley Tisdale would have contracted HIV from a rhinoplasty procedure (famously knows as nose job) she did late last year. The pseudo-sources claimed there was a statement from the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center about this matter.

Things got so out of proportion that panic was installed between some fans of the �High School Musical� star, who posted videos of support �pray for Ashley� on YouTube.

Cedars-Sinai spokesperson says “We absolutely did not issue a release;� while Ashley�s rep told People “rumors are completely untrue.”

I don�t know what possessed someone to make up a story like this. First it�s irresponsible and second it�s just plain stupid. These medical centers have strict policies and there�s a close to zero probability of these kind things to happen. It turns out to be even more improbable when they are dealing with celebrities.
