It’s Kate Winslet on the set of her new movie The Reader. It is a holocaust drama based on the book of the same name by Bernhard Schlink . (I loved that book!)
Winslet plays Hanna Schmitz, a woman in post-war Germany desperately trying to hide her past as a Nazi concentration camp guard. In the 1950s, she begins an affair with a teenage student but disappears one day without trace. Many years later, he discovers to his horror that she is standing trial for war crimes.
By the looks of it, it seems Kate is really getting into the character. Who knows she may even get an Oscar for this performance.
