Paris Hilton says that she and Benji Madden are working together on some music.  People reports that they are recording the theme song for her reality show My New BFF.

“Benji and I have been working hard on it,” she said. “He’s helping me write the lyrics for the song and then I’ll sing it, too.”

This is such a mistake.  Granted, it’s a mistake that many musicians make with their non-musical girlfriends.    Now, I’ve dated musicians and I’m sure that if I had said I wanted to record a song, they would have helped me with it, but that wouldn’t have meant it would be a GOOD.

And that’s exactly what I predict will happen here.   They’ll find a way to produce it so that she doesn’t sound crappy, but that’s about as much credit as I can give this venture.  Good luck, Benji!
