Remember Britney Spears disastrous performance of Gimme More at the MTV Video Music Awards last year? I think there�s no doubt that was the most talked about, most embarrassing live performance on MTV ever.

Live?? Oh sorry! I meant pseudo-live, freaking lip-synching through the whole sorry excuse for a dance routine, fat filled boring performance of Gimme More! It�s not like MTV cares if it�s good or not�

Van Toffler, president of MTV Networks, told the Associated Press he would be willing to give Britney another chance, despite her disastrous appearance at the 2007 VMAs.

�Everyone deserves a second or third chance, right?�

When asked if he was just joking, Toffler said �sorta.�

�Who knows?� he said.

�I�m not sure how we top Britney opening the show,� said Toffler. �We are working on it every minute of every day.�

It�s win/win situation for MTV. Britney can do most amazing performance ever or she could fail miserably. Either way there will be much to talk about in the following weeks.
