What subject matter isn’t more fun when made into a musical?  A theater company in Ireland thinks that David and Victoria Beckham’s life is no exception.   Witness:  MacBecks - the musical!

MacBecks, which the show’s director calls a “wild comedy romp,” pokes fun at the international supercouple, mixing details of their headline-making life with various bits from classic William Shakespeare plays.

“We’re very excited by the script,” says Ronan Smith of Long Road Productions, which is behind the staging of the satirical sing-song affair. “It borrows from Shakespeare’s Macbeth, King Lear and Romeo & Juliet.”

Posh is styled as “an ambitious Lady Macbeth for whom husband David sacrifices his career.”  Ouch!  I wonder if the Beckhams will be invited to opening night?
