Jon Favreau Back to Direct Iron Man 2

According to Nikki Finke, Marvel has finally locked Jon Favreau in as the director of Iron Man 2. Apparently Favreau wasn’t necessarily locked in before because of how much money he would cost. But Marvel offered him a ’sweet’ deal. Robert Downey Jr. will return as the metallic superhero for sure, since his contract from the first film requires it. Not like he wouldn’t come back anyway, the first film has already made over $560 million! Thats pretty great for a film with a $140 million budget. Downy Jr. is going to be a busy man with Iron Man 2 and The new Sherlock Holmes movie in the works. The planned release date for Iron Man 2 is April 30th, 2010 (twenty-ten). No word yet if Edward Norton will be in the movie as hinted at in The Incredible Hulk for some superhero collaboration. Time will tell.
