Robert Downey Jr. has signed on to play Sherlock Holmes in a new movie from director Guy Ritchie. The film will be based the forthcoming comic book that gives us a more athletic, physical version of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous sleuth. This is a bit of a surprise considering there is already completely separate, Judd Apatow produced Sherlock Holmes film in the works.

It stars Borat’s Sasha Baron Cohen as Holmes and Will Ferrell as Dr. Watson. I think you might be able to tell that this one might have a more comedic drive to it. As illustrated by their comedic relationship here:
