Sex And The City Sequel In The Works?

Fans everywhere are still coming down off their high from the Sex and the City movie, and now rumors have surfaced that a sequel is being planned.   Michael Lombardo, who heads HBO’s programming group, said this week:

“We’re really heartened by the fans’ enthusiasm. Absolutely, there is a lot of energy behind doing another SATC movie.”

Other sources have confirmed that Warner Bros.

has begun discussions on a sequel, adding that the studio is hoping to fast-track the project. However, no deal is in place and there is no script. In fact, the lead actresses involved are taking a cautious attitude towards another film, not wanting to rush a sequel and risk disappointing their loyal fans.

Wait - wouldn’t loyal fans be lining up to see another SATC movie?  I personally think they want to make sure they milk all they can out of SATC #1 before they move on to #2.
