Of course the Florida-raised indie rock group The Black Kids has to have its token minority members–otherwise Jesse Jackson would be cutting somebody’s n*ts off.  In this case, front guitarist Reggie Youngblood and sister Ali Youngblood (on keyboards) fit the bill, so tuck your cups away.  No worries.

Their current single “I’m Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance With You” serves as another act on the bill for the rising attention indie rock has been getting (ala Death Cab For Cutie, bloc party, and Santogold’s respective successes in 2008).
