‘The Dark Knight’ Dominates Box Office

It’s official, if you haven’t heard already, The Dark Knight had the biggest opening weekend in history beating the previous record holder Spider-Man 3. Here’s the breakdown:

1st - The Dark Knight rocked the box office this weekend like it’s never been rocked before. $158.4 million was it’s total three day gross! Read my full review of the film here.

2nd - Mamma Mia! took the next slot at $27.7 million. 

3rd - Hancock, held strong at $14 milion. Read my full review here.

4th - Journey to the Center of the Earth pulled in a respectable $12.3 million.

5th - Hellboy II: The Golden Army slid a bit to $10.1 million. Great Film. Read my full review here.

6th - Wall-E made $10 million.

7th - Space Chimps opened at $7.1 million. 

8th - Wanted made $5 million. 

9th - Get Smart made $4.1 million.

10th - Kung Fu Panda made $1.8 million.
