We all know that John Mayer and Pete Wentz have a bro-mance and now they are taking it to the next level. Pete wants John to be the godfather of his baby.

“Pete and John have been spending a lot of time together lately and they get on so well,” says a source. “They are firm friends. John gets a bad rap and is always portrayed as a bad boy but he’s got a heart of gold. Pete and Ashlee [Simpson] know that and they think he would make a great godparent.”

Now that would be funny if he was picked and Jessica Simpson was the godmother…talk about awkward! The battle of the ex’s!
